Step 1: Start the conversation, collect information, seek board approval
Discuss potential eLearning Days with school board, teachers,
leadership team, and the
community.
Visit other districts already participating in eLearning Days.
Identify what foundation and structure needs to be in place to be successful.
Develop a calendar.
Get board approval to apply for pilot program.
Step 2: Complete the application for participation in the Indiana eLearning Flex Pilot Program
Complete the application for the pilot program offered through the Office of eLearning by the deadline given.

3. Immediately after approval start planning
Set dates on school calendar.
Have the board approve the school calendar.
Begin communication with families and community.
Arrange interviews with local newspapers.
Plan professional development to prepare teachers.
Plan how to prepare students.
4. Six weeks prior to the first eLearning Day schedule, practice, and communicate
Schedule time by grade/department for collaborative planning (set high expectations).
Practice with students to make sure they understand expectations. Send devices home in advance to make sure they are able to connect off campus.
Continue to communicate with parents and the community.
Work with food service to make sure they are prepared to feed students.
