Attica Located in West Central Indiana we provide an education for students from three townships in Fountain County. We are a small school district that has embraced technology as an educational tool for our students. We are comprised of 825 students in grades K-12 and 53% of our district students qualify for free/reduced meals. There are two schools in our district. Attica Elementary is a K-6 building and Attica Jr.-Sr. High School is responsible for grades 7-12. Grades 5-12 participate in eLearning days throughout the school year. The 2013-2014 school year is the second year for grades 7-12 and the initial year for grades 5 and 6. As a district we use My Big Campus as our student-learning platform and have had great success with this. Although we are a small district our curriculum is robust. We offer several AP courses, many dual credit opportunities, and we embrace the fine and musical arts. One of our goals with eLearning days is to provide students an alternative method of classroom instruction. We want to prepare our students for future college courses, webinars, and remote meetings that they will face in the world today. We sustain our 1:1 initiative with our CTE course Computer Support and Repair. Our students in this class not only fix our computers and earn an A+ certification, they also earn six college credits from Ivy Tech for the work that they complete. Our school and community have embraced the use of technology and the utilization of eLearning days.
